1. Flat Shipping Fee
We charge a flat shipping fee of $30 per order.
This fee applies regardless of:
- Order size
- Quantity of plants
- Shipping destination within our approved service regions
Shipping fees are non-refundable once the order has been shipped.
2. Order Processing Time
Orders are processed within 1–3 business days after payment confirmation.
Processing includes:
- Order verification
- Plant inspection
- Secure packaging preparation
Processing time does not include carrier transit time. Orders are not processed on weekends or public holidays.
3. Shipping Carrier
All orders are shipped via FedEx. The specific FedEx service level (Ground, Express, etc.) may vary depending on destination, package size and weight, and operational efficiency. Transit time begins once the package is handed to FedEx.
4. Delivery Timeframes
Delivery times are determined by FedEx, the selected service level, shipping destination, and external factors such as weather or carrier disruptions. Estimated delivery dates provided by FedEx are not guaranteed. Rayvariegatedplants.shop is not responsible for carrier-related delays once the shipment has been accepted by FedEx.

The interstate shipping of live plants is regulated by the USDA APHIS (Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service) and individual state departments of agriculture. As a California-based business, we comply with all applicable federal and state agricultural regulations.
✅ States We Ship To (All 48 Continental US States)
We ship live plants to all 48 continental US states subject to the restrictions listed below. We currently do not ship to Alaska or Hawaii due to strict agricultural import regulations in those states.
⚠️ States With Restrictions or Special Requirements
The following states have specific agricultural regulations that may affect certain plant species. Orders to these states are reviewed on a case-by-case basis:

| Arizona | Arizona Department of Agriculture regulates certain cacti and succulents. All cactus orders to AZ are reviewed before shipment. |
| Texas | Texas Department of Agriculture may require plant health certificates for certain tropical species. |
| Georgia | Georgia Department of Agriculture restricts certain invasive tropical species. |
| Washington | Washington State Department of Agriculture regulates certain tropical aroids. |
| Oregon | Oregon Department of Agriculture may restrict certain exotic species. |
📋 USDA Compliance
All live plants shipped by Ray Variegated Plants are:
- Sourced from licensed nurseries and growers
- Free of soil (shipped bare-root or in sterile growing medium where required)
- Inspected prior to shipment for pests and disease
- Packaged in compliance with USDA interstate shipping guidelines
If your state requires a phytosanitary certificate for specific species, we will notify you before shipment. Some orders may require additional processing time to obtain necessary documentation.

6. Tracking Information
Tracking details are provided once the order is shipped. Customers are responsible for:
- Monitoring FedEx tracking updates
- Ensuring availability to receive the package
- Retrieving the package promptly after delivery
Delivery confirmation is based on FedEx tracking records.
7. Live Plant Shipping Disclaimer
Live plants are perishable and may be sensitive to extreme temperatures, transit delays, and extended exposure after delivery. Once delivery is confirmed by FedEx, responsibility transfers to the customer.
Any concerns must be reported within 24 hours of confirmed delivery, as outlined in our Return, Refund & Exchange Policy.
Weather Advisory: During extreme heat (above 95°F) or extreme cold (below 32°F), we may hold shipments to protect plant health. We will notify you of any weather-related delays.
8. Incorrect Address
Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address at checkout. If an incorrect or incomplete address is provided:
- We are not responsible for loss or delay
- Reshipment requires payment of a new $30 shipping fee
- Original shipping fees are non-refundable
Address changes cannot be guaranteed once processing begins.
9. Carrier Delays
We are not responsible for delays caused by FedEx operational disruptions, weather conditions, peak shipping periods, or events outside our reasonable control. Carrier delays do not qualify for refunds unless the order meets eligibility under our Return, Refund & Exchange Policy.
10. Undeliverable or Refused Shipments
If a shipment is refused, deemed undeliverable, or returned due to incorrect address, the customer may be responsible for return shipping fees, reshipment costs, and applicable restocking fees (non-perishable items only). Live plant orders are generally non-returnable unless approved under our Return Policy.
